Sorry for your loss. I never met Mr. Halla but we would always have these short convos when I was an assistant for an investment firm some 20 years ago. I would always be in the office late and Carl would always call at around 6-7pm and ask about his stocks but we would eventually start talk about other things. Reason I´m writing is because i have never met him in person, only by phone. But till this day some 20 years later he has given me some of the best advice I have ever been told. And for that he will always has a place in my heart. "Andre, always love your lady with all your heart" and "Andre, listen to me and get out of the office and enjoy life" . My prayers and condolences to the whole family, he was cut from a different cloth.

My condolences to Carl's family at this time. I met Carl when seeking legal help for an elderly friend of mine who had been defrauded, and his response was way beyond professional and exemplary of a true Christian. I am saddened by the loss of this fine man.

John & I got to spend time with Carl & Linda in Niagara Falls on a Baylor road trip. We also would visit with Carl at Baylor home games. What a wonderful man who always wanted to learn more. He was genuinely interested in people. We will miss him!

Halla family,

Carl was very special. He loved life and his family. We had lunch downtown often in the 1980's when I was a fledling IT person at Texaco and he was already an established attorney. I valued his approach to life and family and appreciated the time he invested in me and my future. He will be missed. May God grant you peace and comfort in this very tough time.
