Carolyn Smith Obituary

CAROLYN GAYLE SMITH entered her eternal rest August 23, 2007 in Houston, Texas after suffering massive cardiac failure. She was born on August 30, 1958 in Odessa, Texas. She spent part of her childhood in Casper, Wyoming, returning to Texas with her family in 1974. She graduated high school from Dulles High School class of 1977. She is survived by sons, Charles and Christopher of Tampa, Fl, life companion Phillip Steffen, and his daughter, Michelle, of Sugar Land, TX; mother, Shirley Humphries and stepfather, Audie Humphries of Sugar Land, TX; brothers, Michael Shaffer, (Rebecca), of Aurora, CO and Jeffrey Shaffer, (Tracy), of Livingston, TX; sister Brenda Kinnamon of Sugar Land, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Daniel Shaffer. In her later years she provided private home health care and was a source of comfort to many elderly patients. Carolyn was a creative and loving person with a special affinity for children, the elderly, and pets. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M., Sunday, August 26, 2007 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd., 281-341-8800. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
