Christopher Joe Gutierrez, age 37, of Houston, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 5, 2023. Chris was born November 14, 1985 in Houston, Texas. He worked as a natural gas scheduler at NextEra Energy in Houston. He was a loving father, brother, son, grandson, and friend.

Chris leaves behind his four beloved children Christopher, Isabella, Joshua, and Sophia, his loving girlfriend Lucy Hernandez, father and step-mother Joe and Faith Gutierrez, mother and step-father Joe and Geraldine Yetzer, sister Ashleigh Green and husband Joshua, brothers Joseph, Jacob, Nicolas, Adrian, and Roman Gutierrez, nephews Hudson, Benjamin, and Henry Green, Grandparents Joe and Minnie Gutierrez and Gerardo and Caroline Granato, and many other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Joseph Gutierrez, Jacob Gutierrez, Nicolas Gutierrez, Joshua Green, Ramy Elawar, and Edmond Faustino; Honorary pallbearers are Adrian Gutierrez and Roman Gutierrez.

Chris enjoyed going to rock concerts with his dad and friends, was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, and was always eager to show his kids and brothers how to ride and work on bicycles and dirt bikes. He enjoyed collecting guns and sharing hobbies with his children like legos and collecting hot wheels. He loved spending time with family and friends, and had an incredible work ethic. Chris had a great sense of humor and always made people laugh. He was warm, loving, and exceptionally thoughtful. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Monday July 10, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 13001 Katy Freeway.

A prayer vigil and rosary will be held afterwards on Monday at 6:00 PM at the Church of the Annunciation, 1618 Texas Avenue.

The funeral Mass will be held 9:00 AM Tuesday July 11, 2023 at the Church of the Annunciation, 1618 Texas Avenue.
