Christopher Dean McCampbell Christopher Dean McCampbell, An entrepreneur, restauranter, chef and loving husband, son and brother, died in Stafford, Texas on Saturday the 2nd of April, at the age of 44.
Christopher was a worldly, well-travelled man who in his 44 years experienced life more fully than most people twice Christopher Dean McCampbell, an entrepreneur, restauranter, chef and loving his age. His love of travelling led him across the U.S. and the Caribbean and across the globe to China, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
Christopher grew up in Houston, Texas and also in Wichita, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas and was always a proud "Jay hawk". His desire to expand his horizons led him to San Francisco, California where he attended the California Culinary Institute obtaining his degree with honors as a chef. He then worked as a Souse Chef and also started his first business, a catering company. He even travelled to China and Hong Kong on an extensive cooking tour.
His love of travel led him to move even further west to Maui, Hawaii where he lived for five unforgettable years. He continued to work in the restaurant industry and also sold fine art, collecting many beautiful pieces for his own collection. In his free time, he explored all of the islands in the Hawaiian Island chain, windsailing, boating, surfing and hiking the beautiful state.
Christopher met his wife in Texas, for whom he returned to the Mainland to marry, although the couple would return to Maui many, many times. Christopher was a romantic at heart with a flair for entertaining. Christopher planned both a lavish engagement at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City and a beautiful, intimate wedding on a privately chartered yacht in international waters off the coast of Monaco. They then spent an extravagant honeymoon sailing from port-to-port in the French Riviera. Christopher and his wife enjoyed over 13 very happy years together. Christopher also continued his entrepreneurial pursuits such as starting a family business that has thrived for the last 7 years.
Christopher was a loving and devoted husband, son and brother. He is survived by his wife, Adrienne; his father and mother, Charles Christopher and Patricia; his brother Michael Grant, and niece Reagan; his grandmother Jen Allen his Uncle and Aunt, Shan and Susan; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jimmy Calvin and Vanessa Williams; His mother-in-law, Pamela Grimes; his sister-in-law, Amelia Williams; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law and his nephews, Adam, Michele, Peyton and Cameron Williams; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law and his nephew and niece, David, Amanda, Conor and Sloane May; his cousins, Terry and Andrew Frost and Adam Petty. Christopher was loved and adored for his very entertaining nature. He was always the life of every party, yet a wonderful care-taker in times of need for his family.
A private memorial service celebrating Christopher's life is to be conducted at the 8th of April at Klein Funeral Home.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Christopher's name be directed to the Citizens for Animal Protection at www.cap4pets.org; or the www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
