Christopher Rundquist Obituary

Christopher James Rundquist
1966-2021
Christopher "Chris" James Rundquist, born August 9, 1966 in Chappell, Nebraska, passed away at his home in Houston, Texas on Saturday, May 1, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 54. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1991, earning a degree in Business with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and Management. He eventually pursued a career in SAP consulting and Information Technology in the oil/energy industry for over 20 years. Chris enjoyed renovating his home, working in his garden, spending time with his dogs, watching home renovation programs and documentaries about early civilizations, hosting parties with his spouse and traveling to Colorado to be near the Rocky Mountains to get away from the chaos of the world. Though Chris was a man of few words, his character and behavior were that of an honorable man as he exhibited a loving, caring, supportive and selfless demeanor. His journey here on earth, though brief, will always be treasured by the loved ones he left behind.
He is survived by his spouse, Jesus "Jesse" Miranda, his two children Kayleigh Michelle Rundquist and Brant Michael Rundquist, mother Kerry (Michael) Kay Harrower, father Bruce (Janice) DeWayne Rundquist, brothers Douglas (Roxanne) Gene Marlowe, Jeffrey Logan Stovall, Jeremy Van Stovall, and Daniel Justin Dailey; sisters Kathleen (Michael) Ellen Frazier and Janeen (Marcus) Sue Ortega, his beloved furry four-legged kids Bobo, Rameses, Khloe, Rocko and Blanca and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends that loved him dearly.
A private Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers his family ask that you consider a donation on his behalf to the BARC Animal Shelter and Adoptions in Houston, Texas.

Chris was a great friend and I will miss our honest and frank conversations, his wicked sense of humor and his willingness to love and be pretty forgiving of my own faults. I cherished our friendship and my heart goes out to anyone that loves him and mourns his loss.
