We feel so blessed to have known Clayton and to be part of your JOY family! Trevor now looks forward to going to church, and tells everyone about GOD. You know his friend, JESUS. God bless.

Vernon and I feel deeply blessed to have known Clayton and served him in the Joy Ministry. We miss him and think of him daily. He is with the Lord and is free of pain and suffering. Because of this his life will always be a testimony to God's mercy and grace. He will never be forgotten.

Clayton was truly a blessing to Joy, and God placed him in beautiful position to be the reason for Joy. Many families and children, young and old adults, are being blessed due to Clayton. He will always be in our memories, he gave James a reason to grow in Christ and know that there was a Church family that accepts him. My prayers are with you each day.

Clayton enriched our family from his first day to his last day. He had a very special place in our family and touched every heart that knew him. The loving memories we all have of Clayton and his wonderful "Briley" family are photos taken by the heart, last till the longest day, never wear out, can never get lost, and never given or taken away. Clayton will always be with us. Wonderful squares added to our Family Quilt. Love to each of you.

We love you and feel so blessed to have been even a microscopic part of Clayton's life! He was truly THE joy boy and was an inspiration to be around. We want to thank him for allowing himself to be used by God in a mighty and unselfish way. Love, The Thrower family

We always said that God knew who to give Clayton to - Denise! He chose Clayton as a minister of his word, but He chose the "Briley" family to have the honor of being the instrument to aid Clayton's ministry! We all miss him, but I just keep seeing the image that Lauren gave us - Jesus, teaching Clayton to walk and talk! I know he is with my Mama and Daddy and is being loved by them! Remember the poem "The Family Quilt"! Love you all!

Briley family, you can never understand the love our family feels for Clayton and your family. Because of your obedience we have been able to find peace, as well as purpose, in our lives. Additionally, the ministry has allowed James to become the young man God called him to be.

Denise, Thad, and family - I was just thinking about Clayton when I got your email with the newspaper link. Although he had many, many obstacles in his few years, he -- and you -- never looked back -- and I never heard you ask out loud, "Why me?" God used Clayton to bring light to an issue that all churches need to confront: Do you truly minister to every family in your congregation?
Thank you for sharing Clayton with all of us. I am so totally JOYful whenever I think about him today: STANDING, WALKING, RUNNING at the side of The Saviour -- no obstacles, no restraints -- totally free. It's what every Christian wants...
Love to you all, and GOD BLESS...

Hi all, I wanted to make sure that you got this.
We had not published it at the time Clayton passed away since the service was so soon, it would have not made the paper.. now I felt it was just time to do it... we are so loved and we thank all of you for your support and prayers.
