To the Abmayr Family,
The passing of our loved ones only brings grief and sadness. The following words can hopefully bring some measure of relief. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. We pray they will bring some comfort to you and the family.

Dave had been a good friend ever since high school. I have fond memories of many good times together during our high school and college years. We were in each other's wedding parties after each of us met the right woman. We are grateful that Dave was able to be in Pittsburgh when Rose and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, we could not make it to Dave and Sandy's 50th.
Shortly after hurricane Harvey hit SE Texas, Dave and I had an opportunity to talk for a while on the phone in what was to be our last conversation. For this I am truly grateful.
Rose and I express our deepest sympathy to Sandy, their children and their grandchildren on this sad occasion. May God grant all of you and members of your extended family His peace and comfort in your time of sorrow.

Hi Sandy,
My name is Joe Niederst. My wife Jane and I met you at the North Catholic 40th Reunion in 1999. Dave and I were in the same homerooms and went to the Westinghouse Science Honors Institute together with Carl Kamper. Dave was a good friend and we enjoyed talking about "science things" and sports cars.
I know he had a Porsche Boxster and an Alfa Romeo back in 1999, and that he loved old sportscars. I tried to get him to come out and visit with us (since we have Alfas too) and drive up Highway #1 to go the world famous Rolex Sports Car Reunion, but I guess it didn't happen.
He told me how much he enjoyed helping out with your grandchildren.
I hope that his last years were peaceful and that you folks didn't suffer too much from the hurricane last summer.
You have Jane's and my deepest sympathy. Dave was a great fellow.
