David Hatcher Obituary

DAVID ELLISON HATCHER, 80 of Beaumont passed away on Friday, June 6, 2003 at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Cremation will be at Beaumont Haven of Rest Crematory under the direction of Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2003 at the funeral home. Additional services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at George H. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home in Houston. A native of Pinckard, Alabama he had lived in Beaumont for 8 years and was a retired CEO of Spectra Biologicals and Gamma Biologicals, Inc. David was also a World War II Navy veteran. David's greatest pleasure was Peacock Bass fishing in the Amazon. He is survived by his wife Louise Hatcher of Beaumont; daughters, Diane Elizabeth Hatcher of Houston, Milinda Davis and her husband Rex of Dothan, AL, and Teresa Danforth of Beaumont; son, Alex Hill and his wife Laretta of Beaumont; grandchildren, Jason Davis, Jamie Peters, Aimee Danforth, Brandon Danforth and Amy Dargahi, great grandchildren Morgan Davis, Hatcher Davis and Amanda Cox; and a very special friend B. You just celebrated your 80th birthday with all the good memories. We are sorry to hear that you passed away. David with your knowledge, experience and real interest in people you always motivated the Gamma crew and people on the outside.



I am proud to have been a part of the Gamma family for several years and have known David, an important and influential man for me. You will be missed!

We are so sorry to here of your loss. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of David Hatcher. Lynn and I knew David both socially and in business for 23 years. I enjoyed all the stories that he told after attending the AABB conventions and Las Vegas stories. It was a real pleasure to know David...he will truly be missed.
