David Joubert Obituary

Always and everywhere, we live with personal remembrances of devoted loved ones and, under God, render Thanks and Praise to Him for the promise of everlasting life. This truth is perceived by us on a day to day basis as we note the sacrificial acts and personal commitment of our Veterans and Peace Officers. Their upholding of such essential values as liberty and justice, individual dignity and national righteousness, ennobles the life of each of us. Through their example we move toward eternity with faith, charity, courage and hope. The line of life between birth and immortality is one of no certain length. In considering this, as we bid farewell to this honored, respected Veteran and Peace Officer, may we be ever more thoughtful, grateful and humble before our Creator as we all await our heavenly reunion. DEPUTY CONSTABLE DAVID JOUBERT SR. 1947-2008 His Life will be celebrated at High Noon Friday, the 18th day of January Two Thousand and Eight at Brentwood Baptist Church, 13033 Landmark St. He will be resting in the Rose Chapel of Mabrie Memorial Mortuary, today, Thursday, January17th from 10 AM until 8 PM. In God's care he leaves his loving wife, Annette Joubert and their children, David Joubert Jr., Jessica Ramsey (Steven), Shelanda Triggs and LaTanya Joubert (Clifford), ; 4 grandchildren, Brianna, Barry, Aeris, and Liam; 4 siblings, Geneva Neal, Hubert Joubert, Alton Joubert Jr. (Flora), and Anna Joubert; father-in-law, James H. Ball and god-father, John Pete Sr. and many dear relatives and friend s. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Top Teens of America, Inc. Grandpa I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could see you again. I wish you could meet my baby girl Taelynn. I love you sooo much, but I know Taelynn talks to you sometimes so I know you're watching over us.

To Annette and family, this is Juanita Scott Alfred your niece from Beaumont Tx. letting you know you are in my prayers and my heart. having the family reunion at that time was ordained by God so even though he is not here in flesh but he,s always in our hearts. It.s not a day goes by that i dont think of him. I remember when he used to come to Beaumont to see his Aunt at the nursing home where i used to work, he would always say how special i was to do that kind of work. And in the same way i think that he was a special person. Just keep God first and everything will be alright. Love Always, Juanita

To the Joubert family,
My heart and my prayers continue to go out to you and your family. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Joubert several times. My mother Deputy Pam Brown worked with him at Ft. Bend County S.O. I dont think there is anyone that cant agree that he really carried the spirit of God within. He always had a smile on and was always willing to help. He was and will continue to be loved by many.

Aunt Annette&fly. I had so much fun at the family reunion, was so glad that that it was all brought together by Uncle David and everyone who took part in preparing that blessed time we shared together on that day. Really am looking forward for the next one. Uncle David will be missed so dearly, but what we have to remember is that his SPIRIT will live and be with us forever. What he established on Dec.8,2007 is only the beginning of the LOVE and UNITY that will be shown and shared through our family from this time to come. What stays in memory is that Big ole smile that stayed on his face that whole day. He was so HAPPY that day to have all his family together again. WHAT A TIME!WHAT A TIME!WHAT A TIME! Remember the song,WHEN WE ALL GET TOGETHER WHAT A TIME,WHAT A TIME ,WHAT A TIME,WHAT A TIME!! Aunt Annette & family we love you all and may the peace of GOD be with you always. Love You Much!!!! Diane Scott Alfred

To My Family,
To the ones I know and the one I don't. I had the pleasure of meeting Uncle David once and he just seemed bigger than life. I have always been told about him because I'm going into law enforcement myself. He was suppose to come to my graduation from college. But GOD had other things in mind. But I know that he will still be there in spirit. Uncle David I'm gonna miss you, and I hope I make you proud as I enter the world of being a police officer. Love You ALL

Annette and family, I am very sorry for your loss. You and David were the first to reach out to me when I moved into the neighborhood, opening both your hearts and your home. I always felt a since of pride and security each time I saw David turing onto the street on his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed.

Lawrence and Paula Pete

January 17, 2008

To Annette,

Words cannot express the sadness we feel on the passing of David. A great void has been created in the fabric of our family. David had an infectious smile, spirit and strength to everyone he met.

Lawrence and I had the privilege of getting to know our dear cousin and all of you a lot better this past year during reunion preparations. For that, we are truly thankful that God allowed us to get closer as a family.

David ALWAYS spoke strongly of family during our meeting times and I know we all would do him proud if the family continues to stay close. Let's continue to foster good family ties in the midst of this difficult time.

We're here if you need us and may God sustain you during this time.

To the family of Dep. Joubert.

I had a great opportunity to work with David in 2005 at pct. 7. He was such a great individual. Always smiling, laughing, always had very high spirits. He most definitely put a smile on my face by going the extra mile not only for his co-workers, but his family.
Yes, you will miss him deeply. Knowing he is in a better place should allow you to move forward peacefully.
