Dixie Picha Obituary

Dixie Hall Ruth Picha
07/05/1941 - 07/16/2024
Dixie Hall Ruth Picha passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2024. Born July 5, 1941, in Lambert, Miss., to Charles M. and Barbra Hall Ruth. After completing her education in Lambert, she moved to Chicago. In the 60s, she relocated to Houston the "city of the future," started her family, and made it her home. She was generous, determined, and compassionate, always volunteering for numerous Civic organizations before and after her retirement. Solving issues with these organizations and helping people and animals gave her tremendous satisfaction. Dixie is survived by her husband, Charles Picha; daughters, Tonya Fisher, and Tessa Diaz (Miguel); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Ruth (Evanna); and many other loving family members. A tree will be planted to celebrate her life.
