I was deeply saddened to hear about Dorsey's death. I oriented her to adolescent psychiatry at Baylor years ago and worked with her for several years before leaving Baylor in 1991. We crossed paths a couple years ago and enjoyed catching up. She will be missed by many and her death is a loss to the psychiatric community.

It hurts my heart to lose Dorsey. I used to tease her, calling her "Pollyanna" because of her eternally optimistic, bright and bubbly outlook on any problem that came her way. She was a loyal friend and colleague, and words cannot express the empty place she leaves in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

I have known Dorsey since 1986, when she came to Baylor. I shall always remember her for her professionalism, her smile, and her infectious laugh. She was a wonderful nurse. She was also one of the kindest people to animals that I have ever known, especially cats. She will be sadly missed.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to her family, and her friends.
