Drucilla Louise Mitchell

DRUCILLA (GEE) LOUISE MITCHELL, 84, of Kosse, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2005. She was born January 13, 1921 in Lott, Texas. She retired from Houston Lighting and Power after 25 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church in Marlin, Texas, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of a ladies bible study group. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She was always willing to lend a hand in church and community projects, she was also an avid domino player and spent many happy hours playing 42 with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Marie Warner and husband John, son Daniel Robert Mitchell and wife Yolonda, daughter Audrey Holmes and husband Charlie. She had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the light in her family's life and she will live within their hearts forever. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, October 3, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers the family has asked to please make donations to First Christian Church, 5099 State Hwy 7, Marlin, TX 76661.
