My thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of sorrow. I am Edna's cousin, Coranell, who stayed with her and her siblings one summer as their sitter. I too became a teacher taught in the town of West, north of Waco.

Dearest Medlin Family:

I too will miss Mrs. Medlin. I have always loved the English language, but she taught me why I love it so much. I use everything she taught me daily in my work at the law firm.

Jesus has her wrapped in the hem of His garment. She now lives eternally in my heart. I loved her.

Mr. Medlin, you are in my prayers. I love you.

Words seem inadequate to express the shock and sadness I feel about Edna’s passing. So many memories flood my mind and heart as I think about your family and mine some thirty years ago. My thoughts and love are with you all.
