Dear Ketterer Family,
I was saddened to hear of Dr. Ketterer's death today. My daughter loved him so much as her orthodontic doctor. For the last three years she has been in his care. She has a few months to go before her braces come off and it would have been great if he were the one to take them off. She has begged him to take them off sooner but he told her he had a "vision" for what her teeth should look like and he wanted her smile to look perfect. We will miss him.

Susan and children- God works thru all of us, and today we all learned how busy he was working thru Ed. I for one, was deeply saddend by the news last Thursday evening, but know in my heart he is in a better place. As I listened to the words of friends and minister, it became very clear to me what a blessing this guy truly was to all those he met on his journey. No truer words could have been spoken by Ed's friend Dr.Warren as testimony to a remarkable man, doctor, father, husband, son and friend. Those in attendance were blessed by the words of encouragement to "be ready" and so fortunate to be able to call Ed friend.
God and Ed will both watch over you and your children Susan.Keep the faith, Ed would insist.

Dear Ketterer Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of my very good friend Ed's passing. Ed and I began dental school together in 1981. We immediately formed a bond, even though I was 20 years older. Ed was always one of the bright spots in the class. He always treated me as an equal. He recruited me for the co-ed softball team when we were freshmen and we never lost a game in four years. Much of this success must be given to Ed (our home run hitter). I am deeply saddened.

Dear Ketterer Family,
I had the joy of working with Ed years ago when he joined Castle Dental Centers. As his assistant/front desk/treatment counselor I was privelaged to work closely with him for a number of years. I have many fond memories of those days and feel a big loss today. I will hold a special place in my heart for him and all of you. I know he loved you all very much as we all loved him. He will be greatly missed!

There are no words that I could offer that would make this terrible loss seem any less devastating for any of you that knew and loved Ed Ketterer. With that being said, I would like to let you all know that I feel truly blessed to have known him, and to have been his patient. He was more than just my Orthodontist. He was a trusted ally to me during some very difficult times of my own and I will never forget his compassion, wisdom, dignity and grace.
