Edward Zissman Obituary
1948-2018
Edward Herman Zissman, born February 20,1948, was surrounded by family when he lost his battle with glioblastoma on October 1st, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife Debra Friedman Zissman, his parents Jennie Moskowitz Zissman and the Reverend Phillip Zissman, and his brother-in-law Marvin Dinesman. He is survived by his wife Deborah Greenfield Zissman, daughter Heather Fishman and husband Douglas, son Eric Zissman, son Jonathon Reckles and wife Suzie, daughter Meredith Bleiler and husband Seth, grandchildren Hannah and Justin Fishman, and numerous other extended family members. Funeral services will be held at Emanu El Synagogue, 1500 Sunset Boulevard, on Thursday, October 4th, 2018 at 10 am. There is a short service and dinner at Emanu El at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Music Therapy Program at TIRR Memorial Hermann at www.memorialhermann.org/donate in his memory. Donations are also welcome to Jewish Family Service at www.jfshouston.org.

Eddie was a constant smiling and welcome face to his morning coffee group at Dunkin Donuts for many years. Eddie shared his life, family, advice, and always good for a funny joke. His passing is a shock to us all and he will be dearly missed. God's blessing to his family and friends. May you rest in peace.
