Eldon Boudreaux Obituary

ELDON MICHAEL BOUDREAUX, 89 was born on July 21, 1916 in Bogalusa La. and passed away on September 23, 2005 in Dallas County, Texas. Mike grew up in Houston and was a life-time resident. He graduated from San Jacinto H.S. and attended the University of Texas. While working for Gulf Oil he decided to join the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He married Marjorie Evelyn Wilson and they had 3 children. He and his parents owned and operated the Rainbow Laundry and Cleaners on West Alabama St. until his retirement. He later took a position at Diagnostic Hospital and worked well into his seventies. His parents were one of the founding families of Second Baptist Church and he was a charter member. He was preceded in death by his parents Eves and Eula Boudreaux, his wife Margie, his brother James and his sister Monnie. Survived by his children Mike Boudreaux and wife Marie, Monnie Atkinson and husband Ralph and Yvette Parolini and husband Alan as well as grandsons Ben Atkinson, Andrew, Timothy and Michel Boudreaux and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Atkinson and Wilson Boudreaux. He was our rock. We love you Dad, you were always such a good sport and you will be deeply missed. A private family service will be held in his honor at Forest Park Lawndale. In lieu of flowers, if desired, a donation may be made to a charity of you choice.

Mr. Boudreaux was a wonderful neighbor. I lived just across the street from him and he always had a smile and a kind word. I am so sorry for his passing but I am sure that he has a smile in heavan.
