Hilton, words cannot express the way I feel - condolences to the family. I last saw your children many years ago, but I will never forget them. I remember Mom taking care of them - they were like part of our family. Mom loved all of you. She's probably up there with Camille and Brandon greeting Eric. God Bless, Robert Melendez

One of the last times I saw Eric I noticed the nail he wore on a chain around his neck and asked him about it. He told me it was the type of nail used to put Jesus on the cross and that he never takes it off. He knew Jesus. He testified to it often when we talked. I'm guessing the Lord saw how courageously he had dealt with and overcome the demons he had after his Brandon's sudden passing, that through that he had learned true faith in Him, that he had become the man he needed to be in order to spend eternal life with Him in Heaven. I have no doubt he is right now walking with Jesus. It's an honor to have known someone who is now doing that. Though he'll be sorely missed here on Earth loved ones can take solace that he has been welcomed into Paradise. Let's pray the Lord grant US the courage, honor and faith that he had.

The Sarrans will very much miss the great times we had almost every Christmas at Denise' house - swapping stories, reviewing ole times, and solving world problems with Eric. Our hearts and prayer go out to the Schweitzers as we try to cope with Eric's untimely death, and look to the future without him!
