It has been a year, Rev. and I am still holding on. I've done all that you have ask of me to do in the pass year. I have held on to God's unchanging hands and kept the faith. I am not discouraged and angered, because all that I have encountered and is going through is certainly in control by God. He sees all and He know all. My love and dedication to you is for a life time, but my love until we meet again, I will always cherish and hold on to our love. Your wife, Constance

To the Burnside Family: I pray that all of you are comforted with the love of God through His Word and Love of His children who pray for you daily and share in your sorrow. Pastor Burnside is a wonderful teacher and pastor and I say IS because his teaching still teaches others through those who sat before him every Thursday Night In Bible Study. I and my mother received the word and understanding through Gods Grace and his servant Pastor Burnside. I will miss his physical presence but he will always be with the ones who bloomed spiritually under his leadership.
Gone but never forgotten.
Sincerely,
Sis. Gwen Rose and Sis. Tommie Thomas

I never thought that I would see the day that one of the greatest men I know would leave me. I remember talking to you that Friday and asking if you knew who I were and you replied "How could I not know who you are?" I'm sure your Heavenly Father said the exact same thing to you when you entered the gates of Heaven because of your remarkable work on earth. Rev. Burnside, you have showed me that some of the most valuable things are priceless and that in life we have to sometimes be at the bottom, so that we can look to the top. I sit in your "big chair" and it brings me great comfort knowing that you are at peace in the arms of God. Thank you for never treating me any differently. The legacy continues and the ministry will live through your family and your great teachings. "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. -John 9:4. I really miss you, but I know that I live on an incentive plan and that incentive is to live my life the way God intends so that one day we can meet again.

Our prayers are with the Burnside family during their time of bereavement. We are thankful to find hope in scripture: “…concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13 (KJV)

I will truly miss you, pastor, but your teachings, your legacy will last forever! Thank you for being a part of my life since I was a toddler. I will miss your jokes and our little chats! It hurts my heart you are not here, but I'm alright knowing you are with the Lord! To family and friends, may God comfort you and give you what YOU need during this season.

Rev. Burnside, I love you; and will miss you. You baptised me when I was 5 yrs old. Giving me a great foundation of faith. When I myself went through a rough trial in my life, you were there for my entire family; and I will always remember & love you for it. I know the Mount Carmel family in heaven were very happy to see you join them! RIP Pastor Burnside.

Connie,
I was shocked to learn of the homegoing of Pastor Burnside. I reflected on the visit we had in December and he was happy, smiling and laughing.
Take comfort in knowing that you did what God purposed you to do- which was take care of your husband. I pray God's comfort and peace be with you during this time.
Sincerly,
Rosalind "Roz" Mouton
