My sympathy to Gene's wife and family. Just meeting Gene in the hallways was enough to smile about. Gene fit in with everyone at S&S. May the Lord watch over you during this difficult time and fill your aching hearts with happy memories of Gene. Thank you for sharing Gene with us! We're all better people for having known him. My condolences to the family. I truly felt blessed to have known Gene and worked with him during my time at Stewart and Stevenson. He was a friend to me. He was a kind and honest person, the type everyone should aspire to be like at the end of the day. God bless you Gene.

I was so shocked when Christal told me Gene had passed away. I am so sorry for your loss and my heart breaks for you. We are praying for you and that God will wrap his arms around you and give you comfort. Know that you are loved in South Carolina and even though we cant be there, we have you in our hearts and prayers.

Mrs.Lib, Casey & Kanyon and the Dobbins Family.... We are truely sorry for your loss of Mr. Gene I know it is a great loss but I had the pleasure of knowing him too and for us too its a great loss. He was an awsome one of a kind man he was a family man and it showed all the time. I have learned alot from Mr. Gene and will never forget how much he meant to me and my family and I will take what I've learned and use it through out the rest of my life.... I am honored to have met such a fine man. Gene and I always shared pictures together I like to take pictures as much as he but he was awsome @ it.... Dobbins Family,
It was a privilege to have worked with Gene over the last 10 years. There was never a time that Gene would pass by in the halls without saying something kind to me. That means so much today especially with the work load that people have but he always took a moment and I appreciated that. It was evident that he had a happy home life in the way he treated others. The passing of time will help you forget this troubled time but the memories will always be. Heavenly Father has other work for Gene on the other side so he needed him. He is missed by so many.

Lib...I can't express with words.. the feelings of Gene leaving this earth....he is a man who has touched many people throughout the years on this earth. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss Gene a lot. He was never in too much of a hurry that he couldn't stop and chat for a minute. It was evident that his family was very important to him. I also loved his stories about star gazing and watching the meteor showers. He always told me were to look in the sky for the best viewing. When I watch the Orionids this weekend I will be thinking of him. I will miss his soft spoken demeaner and quiet, gentle personality. I hope you can take comfort in knowing he was special to me and many other S&S employees.
