1934-2021
Evelyn Mae Kleb went to her heavenly home on November 13, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on January 19, 1934 in Houston, Texas, the fourth of four daughters to Henry W. and Alma Kalbow Meyer. Evelyn grew up and lived most of her adult life in the Houston area. She was baptized on February 25, 1934 and later confirmed on March 21, 1948 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Evelyn met the love of her life, Wallace Lee Kleb, in elementary school and they later married on May 30, 1953. She enjoyed sharing time with Wallace, whom she lovingly called Wally, traveling, fishing, dove hunting, and bowling. She was a faithful member at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Houston and loved her Lord! Her thoughts and concerns centered around the welfare of others and she was devoted to her husband, sons, family, and many wonderful friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Irene (Clinton) Heine, Della (Joe Anderson and Dale Allen), Gladys (Ray) Juergen, and two grandchildren Angela Kleb and Bryan Kleb. She is survived by her husband Dr. Wallace Kleb, her sons Steve (Christina) Kleb and Lee (Marchetta) Kleb, grandchildren Darin (Ken) Kleb, Jared Kleb, and Reese Kleb, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.
A funeral service in Evelyn's honor will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 20th at Beck Funeral Home in Cedar Park, Texas with interment at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, November 23rd at 1:00pm. Pastor Laurence White will officiate at both sites.
