Faye Friedman

Faye Esther Friedman , 95, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012, in her home in Houston.
Faye loved to dance and was a great dancer. She also enjoyed a great party and to have a good time.
She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to so many. She was born in the Bronx New York during World War 1, was a child of the great depression and a young adult of America's greatest generation.
Faye came to Houston with her husband Pat and son Lenny in 1955. She was a vibrant part of the Houston community for the better part of 57 years.
She was a lover of entertainment, music, and laughter and was able to uniquely partake and enjoy the golden ages of movies, television, radio, and Broadway.
She loved music especially the classics of the American songfest. She knew the melodies and lyrics of the greatest composers. Faye had a love affair with life and a real love story with her husband Pat.
She was a life-force and brought joy and happiness to anyone who passed her way. Her greatest pride was in her family, son Lenny, daughter in law Teresa; grandchildren David, Michael, and Kenny; great grandchildren Becca, Adam, Evan, and Katie. Michael and David's wives, Melissa and Laurie Friedman; great-grandchildren, a special part of the family is Ziggy Gruber; very special nephews and niece, Arthur Friedman, , Ernie rudder and Phyllis Schippel; close and dear personal friends, Esther Levit and Bertie Hart.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Faye's caregivers for their exceptional care, Lynn Iverlyn, Ruth Benemon, Vivian Powell, and Endrika Wright, Benecia Locure, and Cindy Green also special thanks to her
special caregivers who were devoted and loyal companions for many years, Maria Pinuela, Alice Uvas, Delia Vargas, and most recently Gilly Agosto.
We would also like thank Houston hospice for the incredible service that they provided .
Faye will always be remembered for being a proud and loving mother and grandmother.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Beth Yeshurun cemetery, 1037 North Post Oak. Rabbi, Jack Segal, officiating
