Florence Ellifrit Obituary

FLORENCE DENNIS ELLIFRIT passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2007. Born May 4, 1914 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Ruben and Christie Dennis. Florence is survived by her sisters-in-law Martha Brown and Nancy Ellifrit, nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ellifrit, her parents, and her two brothers: Ruben and Robert Dennis. Florence's husband Ralph was the City Planner of Houston for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Ellifrit were charter members of Westminister United Methodist Church, which was conceived in the Ellifrit's living room. Mrs. Ellifrit established the church library and served as the church librarian for over thirty years. The family is very appreciative of the compassionate and loving care give by Rose Washington. A memorial service will be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 6th of December 2007 at Westminister United Methodist Church, 5801 San Felipe, Houston, Texas with Pastor Robert E. Webb officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
