Francis Ann "Nini" Bueno passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 4, 2022.
She was born in Houston, TX on March 23, 1953, and resided in Houston for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Cirilo T. and Frances B. Bueno, by her partner Linda Stevenson as well as other loved ones.
She is survived by her sister Theresa Bueno-Gonzalez and husband Mark Gonzalez.
She is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
Francis was a very proud graduate of Jefferson Davis High School class of 1971.
She began her career in Accounting in the Oil/Gas Industry and later found her true calling in Social Services. She began her Case Manager journey with the Catholic Charities Diocesan AIDS Ministry. In 1996 she joined the Montrose Center and 2003 became their Criminal Justice Liaison. She was honored to be the employee of the year in 2008. She was proud to have started their holiday basket tradition and be a participant in the development of their HEB Pantry.
She was privileged to be a member of the Houston Interagency United Way meetings and took on various leadership roles.
She will always be remembered for her compassion, generosity, and unselfish service to others.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, November 11, 2022 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, TX.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation for the kindness and love of her family, colleagues, and friends. We also wish to thank all her neighbors for their love and support and extend our deepest gratitude to Isabel and Robert Lopez.
