Gale Raymond Obituary

GALE J. RAYMOND, born September 4, 1924 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, died Thursday September 8, 2005. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the State Department and helped promote peace and stability for this nation. He earned a Purple Heart in defense of his country. Gale was a world traveler, a member of the National Geographical Society, the People to People program in Cambodia, and the Explorers Club. For many years he was a Philatelic Judge and a Postal Historian. He was a 40 year member of Masonic Lodge 1141 and a member of the First United Methodist Church and Mensa. Mr. Raymond was a much devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a kind friend. He was a writer and SRA member. He leaves his wife of 58 years, Naoma Raymond, daughters Susan Rodgers and Janet Johnson, grandchildren, Faye Rodgers, Richard Rodgers, Katie Rodgers and Colin Lee, brother, Cloyd Raymond 3 nieces and nephews 2 son-in-laws and 2 sister-in-laws. Graveside services with military honors will be held Monday, September 12, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer, with Rev. Savann Kruoch presiding. In lieu of flowers donate please to a hurricane victims fund.
