Gerald Lucky Obituary
77, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday May 13, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.
He was born April 2, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Emory and Beulah Lucky of Houston, Texas. After graduating, Stephen F Austin High School in 1954, Gerald attended Shiners Institute for 2 years and the University of Houston for 1 year. After a brief period working as a mechanic, Gerald went to work for Eastern Airlines for the next 31 years. It was during his time at Eastern Airlines that he met and married his wife of 51 years, Charlotte R. Williams (Lucky), a flight attendant with Eastern Airlines. After Eastern Airlines, Gerald went to work for Continental Airlines until his retirement at age 65.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents Emory and Beulah Lucky, Wife Charlotte Lucky and son Jerry Lucky. Gerald is survived by his sister Janelle Lay & husband Jimmy Lay; his children: Dennis Lucky & wife Vicki, Scott Lucky, Roxann Helminski, daughter-in-law Cindy Lucky; grandchildren: Gerald & Jeffery, Nicole Lucky, Mychael Stuart, Elizabeth Lucky, Ryan Lucky and Katie Lucky; great grandchildern: Ashlynne Lucky.
Vewing will be on Sun. May 19th from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Funeral will be Mon. May 20th at 10:00 both services will be at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX 77023.
