I miss Gerry so much. I think of her very often and she visits me in my dreams. I know every year this is a sad time for the family missing their two sisters. It was such a tragedy but I am so thankful for God's loving plan for us when we leave this world. I look forward to the day of seeing them again!! I hope you all can enjoy your holidays and know that Gerry, Lisa, your mom and dad are with you in spirit forever!

I want to give my condolences to Gerry's family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, especially her children Danielle and Jackson. I carpooled with Gerry for over a year and we were becoming very close friends. She was so much fun. We began a circle of scrapbooking girls and had many fun evenings together laughing. I will never forget Gerry and her wonderful spirit. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out. She will truly be missed. She was one of a kind and I can't wait to see her again in heaven.

And so, Geralyn Clare,
the funeral rites are finished.
The swirling incense has long since faded,
The candles have burned out,
And no longer are heard
the echoes of the Alleluia.
The Alleluia! I’ll never forget it.
For the first time ever it stuck in my throat –
I could not sing the Alleluia on the day they buried my Gerry Clare!
Forgive me, Lord, I know the Alleluia belongs to you and I believe,
But I just could not sing the Alleluia on the day they buried my Gerry Clare.
What now is left for us?

Ah! This time your daughter made you very proud!
A beautiful tribute to you and your saintly sister from your brother,
and Fr. John’s homily with its comforting words to the children.
I’m sure all this pleased you;
it made us cry.
What is left?
Memories of you,
beautiful memories of you,
And tears, tears, tears,
Tears of regret, tears of sadness,
and even tears of joy.
At Angie’s house we talked of you,
Even Fallon and I,
we both felt an unexpected yet unawkward kinship for something we both shared –
Two fortunate men, both who were blessed to love and be loved by you.
Stories from your youth from Sharon, Laura, and cousin Tom;
It seems that early on you already had that something special
that was uniquely you.
I remembered when I told you that I had tried but not been able
to fall in love since losing you,
And you replied with laughter
“I told you this would happen! What were you thinking?”
Everyone laughed,
recognizing you in your words.
So what is left for us besides the memories?
You! You who still live in our hearts,
You who still fill us with life and love.
Pray for us from the other side,
as we pray for you from this our side.
We’ll pray that you will rejoice
in the peace and the love
That you sought from fellowship
with our fragile flesh –
We are sorry for our failures,
and pray the Lord gives you now whatever was lacking in us.
You pray for us,
that we will honor you with our lives,
That we will live lives worthy
of your love and friendship,
That we will become - finally -
what we wanted to be for you.
Rest in peace? No, not for you.
That is not a fitting prayer for you; no, not that for you.
Live on in peace, thrive in peace, flourish in peace, soar in peace, rejoice in peace!
Yes, this is our prayer!
A fierce peace, a ferocious peace
for our Gerry Clare!
And so, let now the red wine of heaven drench your heart in love,
Let now our Gerry Clare make grand her entrance in the world above!

I have fond memories of growing up on West 95th Street, walking to St. Ignatius Elementary School with Geralyn, Dave and Danny. I remember the day Lisa was born, as we were all roller skating down the street as Mr. & Mrs. Hoven were driving to the hospital. Gerry was not only beautiful on the outside, but gorgeous inside as well. Her genuineness truly made her a unique woman. I will miss seeing Gerry at our Torch Energy reunions, but I know we will once again be reunited with our Heavenly Father. God bless your family during these difficult times.

My heart is just broken hearing of Gerry's death. I cannot begin to imagine what you all are going through. What a beautiful young lady.....inside and out. It was a privilege to have called her my friend. We will meet again, one day, as I know Gerry and I have the same best friend....Jesus. My deepest condolences for Danielle & Jackson and the rest of the family. I never met Gerry in person, but my grandson, Noe used to play with Jackson since they were kids. I heard great things about her and she is an Angel that the Lord has called to be with him. Rest In Peace. God Bless You All.

My heartfelt sympathy to Gerry's loved ones. Joanie and I spent many hours with Gerry carpooling to and from work. We joked about how we were "The View on Wheels". Gerry was not just interesting to talk with, and fun to be around, but she also showed a genuine interest and concern for others. Many times Gerry spoke of her faith. I take comfort in knowing that she is with the Lord.

It was a true blessing to call Gerry a friend for over twenty five years. We have grown, laughed, cried and loved over the years.. I thank God for putting her in my life. I am still in shock in learning of my Gerry and Lisa's passing. There will always be a hole in my heart. I will miss sharing so much with Gerry and her energy and vibrance and support. We went through so many things together over the last 16 years. She was my workout buddy, my sounding board and always an encourager. I love you Gerry and will miss you terribly!

I have known Gerry since the days we were at Torch Energy Advisors and last year we got to know each other a little better thru having lunch a couple of times, including attending a Christian luncheon together in Greenway Plaza. As much as Gerry was a dedicated workout enthusiast, her graceful presence and quiet thoughtfulness of others helped define the very special person she was.
I will miss her and give thanks for one of God's special children.

Having recently met Gerry, I felt her spirit to be genuine and tender. We had hoped to have our son's meet and start a great new friendship.
I am thankful that God has allowed me to have met such a peaceful soul. We must always remember God is in control. God has promised us he would never give us more than we can handle, though sometimes it seems overwhelming, we must lean on and trust in him.
