Glenn Van Eman Obituary
1931-2017
Glenn Houston Van Eman of Houston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. Glenn was the son of the late James Houston Van Eman and Martha Wileman Van Eman. Glenn graduated from Kemper Military School and the Virginia Military Institute and received his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Glenn served as an artillery officer in the US Army for five years. He was a business consultant serving the Greater Houston area.
Surviving him are his wife of 56 years, Ann Ballard Van Eman; daughter, Allison Van Eman Culver and husband Thomas Euclid Culver; daughter, Laura Van Eman Schulz and husband Morgen Eric Schulz; and brother, Stuart Currin Van Eman and wife Marlene Genitempo Van Eman. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Olivia Lee Schulz and Evelyn Tatum Schulz. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Houston National Cemetery. Procession from Lane 1 will begin at 10:45 a.m.

Glenn was great person, he and his wonderful wife purchased Mercedes Benz automobiles from me when I was Sale Mgr at Star Motor cars. I truly loved both of them . I will remember both of their smiles and great laughter.

I met Glenn through my friendship with his wife Anne whom I met at the Houstonian. Glenn was always the most refined gentleman. He and Anne had a wonderful marriage. I know he was loved and will be greatly missed. Anne, Laura, and Allison -you are in my prayers.

I met Glenn at my early voting location and he came with sweet Ann. Lovely people. Glenn was so very nice to me and the rest of us. Introduced him to my husband and they became fast friends and did lots of business together. So very sad for his passing. Hope the fun and dear memories bring you all loving comfort.
