Even though I hadn't seen her for many years I am very sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed and especially by Chip, her grandson and my nephew, but I know in my heart that she is in a better place.

"Ms. Hattie" as we all called her here at A&E was a blessing to just know. I have known Ms. Hattie for 11 years and she has been like a second mother to me always nurturing and giving advice up until the end. We have lost a "Great Soul" but she always said that this was not her battle to fight, she was here to do a job and when her Heavenly Father called for her to come home she would be ready to go.I will miss our long phone conversation but I know that she will always watch over us.
God bless you all and stay strong in your faith.

First I would like to send my condolences to the Lewis Family, my heart is sadden for their lost, that I have them in my thoughts and prayers.
I've known Hattie for about 9 1/2 years. We worked together at A&E until she had to leave due to her illness. In those 9 1/2 years I learned alot from Mrs. Hattie, her love for GOD and for Life. I guess what gives me some comfort is the last time I spoke to Mrs. Hattie she told me that she was at peace with her Heavenly Father and that she was grateful for the life GOD has givien her.
I will always treasure the memories that I had with Mrs. Hattie and I thank GOD for putting her in my Life. I will miss her.
