Dear Blanca, Al, Sean and Josh
So sorry to hear about your sudden loss. Hernan was such a good man. I know I only saw the vacation side of him, but it seemed like he would always be having fun, weather on vacation or not. He was a fun, interesting and generous person which we will all miss. Blanca thank you for sending me the letter.

The books age, the flowers are fade up but the love and the memories remain in the time in spite of the distance the time did not happen, for that reason today I wonder myself if the love between all the brothers is always so great and to God I thank to give me like brother Nano my adored that never I will forget, you will continue being my guide although I no longer can see you and until last moment your face I will remember.

Hernan for me was more than my brother. He was my best friend and very much a father figure in my life. We have all lost someone very special that brought so much to all our lives. I believe that we are all better people because we were blessed with someone like Hernan in our lives.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about my bro, Hernan and I wish I could pickup the phone and make my daily call to you to "catch up" with each others lives and hear your words of encouragement and funny laughter.
Jaymee, Nicole and I will forever miss you and remember those beautiful moments we all shared together. I will always remember the countless camping trips, our adventurous climbing experiences, the fun times we spent skiing at Mammoth and the dream vacation and scuba trip we spent together in Hawaii back in July 2007. I love and miss you. Blanca, Sean and Joshua - I love you all and I want you to know that I will always be there for you. Love, Al

Blanca, Sean and Joshua,
It has been very hard for me to speak of this tragedy and the emotions of disbelief, sadness, anger, guilt, and many others are still flooding my soul.
I thought of Hernan as my brother and one of my dearest friends on this earth. My love for him and his spirit will never die.
His contributions to our dojo, Buke Ryu, our family and all of the other things that he touched and turned to " Diamonds " were truly blessed to have him a part of.
Our family, Buke Ryu and The Hunter's consider the three of you family. Our prayers are with you, our constant thoughts are for your recovery and understanding of God's will.
We are here for you at any time that you need us to talk or to ask a favor. 1600 miles between us will not stop our love and our connection that we share.
May your family embrace the comfort and power of the Holy Spirit.

I was shocked and saddenned to learn of Hernan's sudden passing. He
was a wonderful man, a total joy to
be around. I didn't see him much the
last few years but I always felt he was a special friend nonetheless. I remember taking Adam and Abby to your house for Halloween. Your house
was decorated to the max and the art work by Blanca inside was a delight. I will miss his unique laugh and his special infinite warmth. My best wishes to Blanca,
Sean and Joshua. I will always be your friend.

Blanca,
We learned of Hernan's passing this past week from Juan Torres. Needless to say, we were quite shocked. It gave us time to reflect on those first few years we were in The Woodlands when Jesse was on Hernan's soccer teams through the YMCA. I know Jesse enjoyed playing for him and that Hernan had a very positive impact on Jesse. I too am greatful for the time and joy he provided all of the kids on his teams. I was skiing up at A-Basin last Friday when Hernan popped into my thoughts. I made some sweet turns with him in mind!
Kathy, Jesse and I wish you, Shawn, and Joshua strength during this difficult time. Our prayers are with you.

Oh Blanca,
Words cannot describe how shocked and saddened I am to know Hernan is no longer here. Such a joyful man, such a loving husband and father to you and the boys. Adam called me stunned,anxious, and sad to know that his return to the club and old friends would now be without the mentorship of such a caring and dedicated teacher. We are here for you. Please know that our world was made sweeter because of his time here with all of us who knew him. Thank you Hernan. We will truly miss you.

Sean, Joshua and Blanca, we are truly sorry for your loss. Hernan was a great teacher and full of positive energy everytime we saw him. He leave behind a wonderful family, and an extended family from the boys and parents he guided through soccer. He created some wonderful memories for our family and we will always remember his contribution in helping us learn about soccer and life.

Dear Blanca and boys;
It was with great sadness that Harley and I learned of Hernan's passing. We were very sorry that we were not able to attend the funeral service and pay our respects to you and the rest of the family, but we were both ill. We can not pretend to know how painfull and difficult this time is for you and the children. We know that there are no words that can eliminate the sorrow which you are now feeling. We simply want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Hernan was a dear friend who always had a hug for me and saw to it that I had fresh coffee on Saturday mornings.
