Jack, We here at Scheumack Homes miss you. I was telling a client last week about how well you conducted your business and led by example........our business relationship was like an ongoing story.....all the problems were small ones and all the clients were treated like they were the only ones! You are indeed an angel among angels.....Rest in Peace Jack!

May God bless and keep you all. Jack was my favorite boss. You never knew what to expect from Jack! I will never ever forget how gracious he was to my mother, who was blind, due to macular degeneration. Jack walked her around the office at LDB using very descriptive words so she got the picture of the business, even though she could not see it. Thank you Jack for giving me the opportunity to cut my flooring teeth at LDB. You will be missed by so many.

Dear Daisy, Elizabeth and Beverly,
my heart is broken to hear of Jack's passing. Jack took me in as young man and mentored me in the floor covering business, as he did with most of Houston! He was never to busy to stop and take time with me. He made me proud to be a part of the LDBrinkman family. Some of my fondest memories are of him at the Hoedown's in Dallas,he loved a good party. Thank you for sharing him with me, I was blessed to be his friend.

Blessings to the family......we have been with Jack for the past six or seven years....Although I never met him in person, I felt that I knew him as a friend! I had no idea that he was as old as he was.....He told us he would never retire.....a man of his word! May God Bless this man and his family!

Such great memories of piano parties and so many great conversations with your husband advising me on life; from the time I waslittle guy through adulthood. Thank you Jack for making my world better...and thank you Daisy for always being there for the Young's.

My condolences to Daisy and the family. A few years ago I had the opportunity to drive Jack back and forth to his Floor Zone office. We had many a good talk and I learned more about a man I already admired and who had inspired me over the years.

Daisy, Its so hard to think that Jack is gone. He was a true friend and a mentor to me as he was for many. He introduced me to the floor business. If not for his help I probably would not have made it. He will be greatly missed.

Jack was a great influence in my life and my friend. He encouraged me to break "the glass ceiling" in the flooring industry and mentored me through some pretty rough patches. He was a generous guy who never talked about or bragged about his good works.I called him "Daddy Jack" which always gave him a chuckle before asking me if I thought he was still the most handsome and well dressed man in the room!
Of course, he was...! I will miss his humor and his friendship.

Jack was one of the easiest people in the world to know and like. His soft-spoken manner and warm smile brought a feeling of calm and certainty to our lives. I will always remember him as a consummate gentleman.

To Jack's family: May the Lord's peace and presence be your deepest comfort during this very difficult time.
I absolutely adored Jack. He was always the perfect gentleman, so kind, always had a listening ear, always offering to help, just a genuinely good man. I will miss seeing his handsome face, hearing his music in his office and listening to his stories about his work, his life, his family and his many friends. He was a gift to so many of us.
