1937-2017
Jazz Musician, James Ernest Black Jr., died at the age of 79. His musical career spanned over 58 years and he played with Red Garland, Bubba Kolb, Fathead Newman, Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, Bobby Holland, Bo Boyd, and Charlie Prause. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Ernest Black Sr. and Minerva Braden Black; siblings, Paul and Martha Anne Black. He is survived by his three sons, Jimbeaux, Robert and Eugene Black; brothers Rick and Chris Black. Condolences may be offered at www.millerfuneral.com
