James A. Cone, 70, of Houston, passed away Friday, August 5th. He was born in Houston, Texas, on November 11, 1945. Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday, August 13, at Forest Park Lawndale. Visitation will be at 10 AM, followed by the service at 11 AM. Please go to www.dignitymemorial.com for additional details.

As James' pastor, I can say that scarcely has the earth seen such faith as in James Cone. Despite incredible suffering, he never denied his God and Lord, and he received the Lord's Supper with joy. I will never forget James, and rejoice that when Jesus comes again, James will have his resurrection body. Pr.
