James Almon Gilbert passed away on November 27th, 2023. He was born to Anabel and Ben Gilbert on October 3rd, 1945. He joined his brothers, Earl, Bob, Ben, and John in a family of all boys. James is survived by his wife, Raye Dean Gilbert; children, Matthew, Mary, and James (and husband James Dunn); and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM - 8 PM on Monday, December 4th, 2023 at Bradshaw-Carter Funeral Home (1734 W. Alabama St., Houston, TX 77098). Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 at First Lutheran Church (1311 Holman St., Houston, TX 77004). In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Shriners Children's (www.shrinerschildrens.org).
