I can't believe it's been ten years, but he is still missed. Every time I see a dove fly over my back yard, I think if Jim and the many good times we had hunting them......lots of great memories hunting, fishing and of course the hunt for oil and gas too!

Jim was a good friend and fun companion during high school and at Rice. I looked forward to Houston trips so I could trade laughs with Jim. I will miss him terribly.

Jim embodied the best combination of intelligence, wit, and confidence that I have been privileged to observe. An engineering degree takes brains. His
practical jokes and wit knew no limits. Maybe only a bit lacking in
self confidence. (Ha). A great friend through seven years of school.

Jim Whitson is prominent in some of my most cherished childhood memories. I cared for him like a father and thought of him often. Only last week I told my husband that his fun and silly way with our children reminded me so much of that great man I once knew... Patrice's dad.
