I was a member of Peacemaker Ministries from 1973 to about 1978. Bro. Jim taught our Bible study and was my pastor at North Shore Baptist Church. His smile was warm, he was quick witted and could hold our interest with his smarts. He was a good friend and counselor. I miss him dearly. But one day I will see him again!! Love him in Jesus,

I have many memories of Bro. Jim Ray Brown. My parents and I went to North Shore Baptist Church when I was a little girl and I use to run up to Bro. Jim and he would pick me up and give me a big hug. Bro Jim was very to special to me. I will miss him very much. Rick, Carla, Kyle, my prayers and thoughts are with all of you. God bless all of you.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Kyle, Jim, and Carla. When I was a child, my family attended North Shore Baptist Church where Bro. Jim was pastor. Although I was a small child, I still remember his big smile and friendly spirit. I know that there is a great reunion in heaven right now, and among them are Bro. Jim, Bro.Henry T. Roe, and my Uncle, Earl Dousay. Just as his family, we will all miss him, but in the words of my Uncle Earl, "You never lose something as long as you know where its at" God Bless You. 'James Dousay

Sympathy and deepest love to Carla, Kyle and Rick. Bro. Jim was one of a kind. You never had to wonder about what he thought concerning anything. He was an inspiration to me and I loved his sermons because they were not only enlightening and convicting but challenging. He always challenged my thought process. He made me "think" deeper and deeper.
He was a "shoot from the hip" preacher, a wonderful pastor and I will miss him tremendously. I know that today there is a great reunion going on in heaven. Bro. Jim, Boots and Grandmother, together again.

What can I say. I grew up in North Shore Baptist Church. I grew up with Jim Ray's children Carl, Jim Rick, and Kyle. I believe the home that North Shore Baptist Church provided me, saved my life. I will always treasure the humor of Jim Ray, and the love of his wife Boots. I want to thank Carla, Jim Rick, and Kyle for sharing their dad and their lives with me.

Jim was a wonderful jolly man and I was just thinking of him a few days ago. My prayers are with his family! May God Bless you in this trying time. Jim will be greatly missed.
