JoAnn Beal Lattimer
1942-2021
JoAnn Beal Lattimer was born to the late O.H. "Bill" Beal and Cleo Beal in Houston, Texas on June 19, 1942. She passed away on December 17, 2021.
JoAnn graduated high school from Kinkaid and continued her education at Rice University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1964. While at Rice she met and fell in love with Brian Lattimer whom she married in 1967 and raised two children. JoAnn worked as a teacher at Landrum Middle School and Clear Creek High School. In 1979 she went to work as the secretary-treasurer for Houston Grinding & Manufacturing. She retired in 2020 after working 40 years with HGM.
She loved travelling and supporting the Rice Owls sports programs. JoAnn enjoyed living abroad in Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore before settling back in Houston to raise a family.
JoAnn is survived by her husband Brian, sons Daniel and James, and grandsons Blake, Grayson, and Tarek.
Visitation and services will be held at Memorial Oaks, 13001 Katy Freeway, on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Visitation will start at 12pm and the service will commence at 2pm.
