John Sardis Obituary

JOHN J. SARDIS, born June 11, 1945, passed away May 29th, 2008. John leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Paula, of Katy, TX, his daughter Gillian Sardis-Nichols and her husband John Nichols, and his granddaughter Leelah Jo, of Katy, TX. John proudly served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne. A service celebrating his life will be held Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008, at 11:00 am at Second Baptist Church, West Campus, at the Williams House, in Katy, TX.

After competition was over he was my friend . No one not even his younger brother The Reed Man was like him , in fact no one was or ever will be like SARDIS. I will miss his criticism daily as if he was my father. God bless him. I will always remember you John. Always.

I just heard today that John had passed. I along with my family would like to extend to you and yours our deepest sympathy. May God give to you and yours strength in this time of sorrow . He loved life and added humor to all that came to know him .

Mrs. Sardis, Gillian, John, & Leelah,
I am so sad for your loss, Mr. Sardis was such a wonderful man and we were all so blessed to have him in our lives. I will always remember his fantastic sense of humor and genuine love of life. You will all be in my prayers as you always are.
