Uncle JT will be remembered by me for many years. I remember Uncle JT not being very proficient with tools, a screwdriver especially. From this, I learned that not everyone has the same skills. Everyone is different and each has his/her strong points and weak points. But this is the way each of us was made. God has his plans and gives each one the tools to perform his specific duties. I also remember, long ago, an early fifties Chevrolet convertible and one or two rides in it. My thoughts and prayers will be for the family members during this difficult time.

John will be missed by all the seniors at the Wirt road community center. His friendly face, always with a smile, lit up every occasion! He is in eternity with no pain, any other worries, May God grant him eternal rest!

Dear Wier family, We were so sorry to learn of John's passing. Many years have passed since we crossed paths and we have so many great memories of him during our St. Timothy's church years back in the 60's and 70's. Our lives revolved around our children so much at that time and we remember your children with great fondness. Bless you all during this sad time.

I remember Uncle JT being larger than life. He had big hugs, a big laugh, and big cheers for his teams. I know he had quite the receiving line in heaven. I am sure he has been square dancing already, and is waiting for the next big game. He has the best seat in the house to cheer from. Uncle JT will be greatly missed.

John rarely missed attending our "Aerobics and More" exercise class. In fact, he would lead the class when the instructor was absent. I met him and his wife in 2003. I considered both to be kindhearted human beings. His wonderful spirit will be missed.

I knew and worked with John from the time I joined Hudson Engineering in 1975 until John retired from McDermott. He was among the most knowledgeable, professional, and fair-minded people I've ever known. Although he was the consummate professional, he had a dry humor that you might miss if you weren't paying attention. He was a mentor to many Hudson and McDermott employees in both engineering and management. I was sad to learn of his passing, and offer my deepest and sincerest sympathy to his family.

Uncle JT was always the quiet voice of reason in the pandemonium of my mom's family. He will be missed.

Working with John at Hudson Engineering and then McDermott was always a pleasant professional experience. His smile and depth of knowledge was missed when he retired.
It it with sadness that I extend my condolence to his family.
