Graveside Service for, JOHN BROOKS WILLIAMS 80, of Houston, Texas will be Saturday 1-19-2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Alto City Cemetery with Dr. Randy Fitzgerald officiating. Under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto. Mr. Williams died Thursday in Houston, Texas. He was born January 21, 1921 in Greenville, South Carolina to R.G. & Francis Brooks Williams. He was raised in Hendersonville, North Carolina and received a law degree from Harvard University. He lived in Houston for 46 years where he owned & operated Markle Steel Company. He was also a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran, He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Williams, formerly of Alto. Family : Brother: William Gillam Williams-Littleton, Colorado Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:45 PM Saturday at O.T. Allen Funeral Home in Alto. Pallbearers will be: Rawls Maddux, Roland Friese, Siegfried Friese, John Bauer, Ronald Kircus, Kevin Ballard & Richard Miller.
