Judith Pearson Obituary

Judith Ann Pearson
01/18/1941 - 03/31/2023
Judith Ann Pearson died in Houston Texas on March 31 following a serious fall in her home. She was born in Bellingham Washington on January 18, 1941, to her parents Elsie Nugent and M.R. "Pete" Nugent.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Douglas Gage Pearson, and their three children: Anne-Marie Pearson of Orlando, FL; Peter Thomas Pearson of Salinas, CA; and Mary Kristin Ceverha and her husband Paul of Dallas, TX and their children Henry and Jack.

After their marriage both Judy and Doug graduated from the University of Washington and then lived and worked in Nashville, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Tacoma. In 1979 they moved permanently to Houston, TX where Doug worked in the natural gas industry and Judy concentrated on raising their children while working various professional administrative positions.

Once their children were grown, Judy worked as an executive assistant to the president of Men's Warehouse and later the CEO of Kirby Corporation. Retiring in Houston, Judy remained active as a volunteer at MD Anderson for 12 years as a surgical waiting room/family liaison, meeting people from around the world.

The family thanks the teams at Memorial Hermann Shock Trauma ICU and at Houston Hospice. Please visit Judy's online memorial obituary at www.Legacy.com where fond memories and words of condolence may be shared with her family.

A memorial and celebration of life is planned for the afternoon of May 11. Please contact a member of the family for details.
