Faye, It is not darkness that your father has gone to,for God is Light. The valley of the shadow of death holds no darkness for the child of God. God called Mr. Wilkins Sr. to attend school, the best school in the universe, learning the best things, in the best possible manner, from the best teacher ever; Christ is with him.

On behalf of the residents in District B and the City of Houston as a whole, I would like to honor and celebrate the life of Julius O. Wilkins. Mr. Wilkins, a War World II veteran, had kind, gentle, giving spirit that will forever be remembered. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-great grandfather, and great-great-great grandfather, Mr. Wilkins was never in short supply of love for his family. His greatest joy in life was making others happy. We honor his accomplishments, his kindness, his service to his country and his life.
