Kari Davis Obituary

Kari Davis
1979-2021
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
Kari Braband Davis, passed from this life into eternal life on February 2, 2021. This beautiful blue-eyed blonde was born on January 13, 1979 to Kay and Baxter Braband in Houston, Texas. Kari lived her life sharing the special gifts she inherited from her mother and father, a spontaneous wit, a relentless sense of humor and a generous heart. She could coax a laugh from the most sullen of people, and would offer anything she had to someone in despair. Kari graduated from Klein High School and was an avid competitor on the swim team. She furthered her education by attending her father's alma mater, The University of Texas at Austin and would later work for his company, Braband Building Systems, as Property Manager. Kari's natural beauty, charismatic personality, and kind heart won her the love of Caleb Davis, and they married on November 3, 2007. Caleb and Kari were blessed with three amazing children, Jonah, Cameron, and Taryn. And although God's plan would not keep her in their lives long enough, they will carry the memory of their adoring, fun-loving mother in their hearts forever.
Kari was preceded in death by her hero, her father, Baxter Braband.  Left to mourn the loss but cherish the time they had with Kari, is her mother, Kay Braband; Kari's husband Caleb Davis, children Jonah, Cameron and Taryn Davis; brother Chris Braband, and wife Gina; nephews Logan, Corbin, and Brendon Braband.  Kari had a favorite poem by E. E. Cummings, "i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart)", for those of us left behind, we find comfort knowing Kari carried a piece of our heart with her to Heaven and are blessed knowing that she will remain in our hearts forever.  Memorial service will be held at Bammel Church of Christ, located at 2700 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, Texas 77068 on Wednesday February 10th at 3:00 pm. Masks are required. Memorial donations may be made in Kari's memory to the Northwest Assistance Ministries, 15555 Kuykendahl Rd, Houston, TX 77090.

I've been searching for the lady who was a 1st cousin, once removed on my Ancestry DNA. Now I've found her.
I'm so very sorry for Kari's husband, children, mother and brother. God bless you and bring you comfort.

We became acquainted with Kari when she and our daughter were together in Santa Ana many years ago and grew to be good friends. I’m beyond sad for her family. We pray for comfort and peace for all of you.

I knew Kari best by the stories Kay shared with my sister Brenda Parker. From such an early age, Kari’s wit was honed to perfection. What a gift she had. Kari will light up heaven with laughter. You will be missed baby girl. Linda Troutt Cobb

What a friend to have in Kari! She was such a generous soul, full of laughter, joy, spunk, and love! Kari and I were close- The kind of close where you share the dark and the light together. Where time could go by , but not a beat was skipped in sharing our hearts with one another. We were always there for each other when it mattered most. I miss her greatly already as she has and always will fill a space in my heart! I love you Kari- to the moon and back!
