Kelly Robinson Prewitt Obituary

Kelly Robinson Prewitt
04/18/1963 - 10/25/2025
Kelly Robinson Prewitt, 62, of Cypress, Texas passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025 surrounded by family.

Kelly Ann Robinson Prewitt was born on April 18, 1963 in Houston, Texas to Robert Alexander and Baja Ann (Lee) Robinson. Kelly spent her childhood growing up in Sharpstown alongside her older brothers Steve and Robbie. She graduated from Sharpstown High School in 1981. She then followed her father's footsteps and earned her bachelor of business administration from Mississippi State University in 1984. After college, she moved back to Houston and began a career in banking.

She met the love of her life, John Marshall Prewitt, in November 1989 while both working at First City Bank. They married one year later on November 10, 1990 and enjoyed nearly 35 years of marriage before John's death on July 18, 2025.

They welcomed their first child, Elizabeth Lee, on November 15, 1994. Melissa Ramey was born on September 8, 2000. Benjamin Robinson completed the family on August 27, 2003.

Kelly enjoyed a career as a trust officer at First City until the birth of their first child. She then transitioned to stay-at-home mom, a role she cherished more than anything. She was active in her children's lives and frequently volunteered with the kids school activities. As her children got older, Kelly stepped back into work, serving as the director of Noah's Ark Preschool at CBC for over a decade until her retirement in December 2024.

John and Kelly were active members of Cypress Bible Church for over 28 years. Kelly served in countless roles across multiple ministries at the church. She had a true servant's heart and was always ready to help wherever needed. She was also involved with Bible Study Fellowship and Community Bible Study for many years and made many lasting friendships through both ministries.

Kelly's longtime dream of becoming a grandmother finally became reality on July 14, 2025 when her granddaughter Abigail Ann Johnson was born. She savored many sweet moments snuggling with Abby and watching her grow.

Kelly is predeceased by her husband, John Marshall Prewitt, mother and father Baja and Bob Robinson, her mother- and father-in-law Janice and Thomas Prewitt, brother-in-law Jonathan Myers, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and great-nephew Chap Robinson. She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Prewitt Johnson (husband Steve, daughter Abigail), daughter Melissa Prewitt Gauthier (husband Luke), and son Benjamin Robinson Prewitt; brother Steve Robinson (wife Jodie) and Robbie Robinson (wife Terri); sister-in-law Barbara Myers, Stephanie Brown (husband Mike); nephews and nieces Sam Robinson (wife Sarah, children Reese, Max, and Katherine), Caitlin Robinson (husband Matt Poche, daughter Jade), Laura Robinson, Tom Robinson, Cole Robinson (wife Meagan, children Cash, Conley and Camp), Chris Fenley (wife Lauren, children Ford and Levi), Rachel Mancini (husband Blair, children Violet and Lily), Riley Robinson, Joshua Myers (son Landon), Megan Adams (husband Seavie; children Grace and Brayden), Jessica Gaul (husband Chris; children Joshua and Abby), and Jared Myers (wife Caroline; children Tinsley, Jackson, Tommy and Kash);

Kelly was my mother“s first cousin. I got to know her through her being at western auto in Starkville that Uncle VJ Robinson owned. I was her Junior yet we became friends and would speak on the phone from time to time. I messaged her on her husbands death and glad I did. God bless her family and know she is loved by me always. But God loves her so much more.
