May the grace of God be with you. Thank you for the contributions your family has made to the Pass Christian School District. My daughter heard Robin speak at school, she shared a prayer her father taught her as a child. I do not remember the prayer, but you made a positive impression on my daughter.

To the Roberts family, my heart skipped a beat when the anouncement of Mr. Roberts death was made on GMA. I will forever remember the Roberts' family vacation that Robin shared with the viewers of GMA earlier this year. Clearly she was very proud of her father and her family.

My mother returned to God in March, 2004 and through her death, she lives even more through memory.

Roberts family, through all your trials you will be victorious because of the strong legacy Mr. Roberts left behind.

God bless and keep you,

Dear Robin and Family:
Celebrating your Father's Homecoming is God's way of making a brighter star each evening as your Dad smiles down from above watching over his love ones. For your Dad is soaring high, high above the clouds, and yet still tucked away with his embrace guiding your steps, his love for you felt in that special place within your hearts. Thank you all for sharing your Father with all of us.
For your Robin, I too, lost my parent, (Mother) two years ago, and on a personal note, my Mother ( Moss Point, Ms), watched you faithfully, as she was so proud of her home town girl, now that I reside in Colorado, I, too am following in my mother's footsteps...Thank you Robin for making us all so proud to be from Mississippi. (Pascagoula Class of 74) May God continue to share your Father's blessings with all of us.

To the Roberts Family:
My deepest sympathy and condolences to you. I never met Col. Roberts. He sounds like a person anyone would be honored to have known. I went to junior high school with Robin. She was always a wonderful person. In reading articles about your family throughout the years, I can understand why and how each of you are so genuine in your endeavors. You had a great inspiration in your father/husband/grandfather. Be proud that he has touched so many lives and keep that legacy alive.

To the Roberts Family:
I try to feel your Pain, and I am praying to the Lord to ease it but I know that he is with Jesus and he has no pain. I met Mr. Roberts one time but I knew that when I met them he was special, the aurora, the total self condfidence in a man that was doing and living his life for God and his family, was self evident. When I found out more about him, I was in awe. Your family should me very proud to have a Father that Loved his family and his country as much as he did and accomplished so much in his life with his country and especially with his family, and I know that Jesus met him in heaven and said Welcome! I pray to Jesus to ease your Pain, but you will meet him again in a better place. My Heart goes out to you and your Family.

I was sadden when I heard of your lost. In the mornings, I would sometimes hear Sally speak of her father so proudly; and now, I understand why she was/is so proud of her father. Sally, remember, he will always be there with you. With each breeze that you feel on your face, it is just daddy giving his little girl a kiss. :) My prayers are with you and May God Be With You All!

To The Roberts Family: I always say that "Memories are treasures of the mind, and golden in the heart". I know he will be sadly missed by family and friends. I remember watching not long ago the segment on Good Morning America with Robin and her father, where she flew in the same type of airplane as her father, and I watched the tears flow from her eyes when she came down, and was standing next to her dad. I will never forget that segement of GMA. He was such a asset to the Gulf Coast area being involved in all the functions he was. He will be remembered as a GREAT MAN.

Ms. Lucimarian, Dorothy, and the rest of the Roberts family, you have my sincere condolences on the passing of Col. Roberts. He was a legacy here among the African-American community at Keesler AFB and the entire Gulf Coast. It was a privilege to have known this man through the Keesler African-American Heritage Organization and other community events which he was a part of. Dorothy, I can also, remember him and Ms. Lucimarian attending their granddaughter's softball games in Long Beach. They seemed to thoroughly enjoy that. But I can also say that he was well respected and admired by me and many others. He always presented himself as a fine, distinquished gentleman of which he surely was. Again, my sincere sympathy to you, Miss Lucimarian, and the rest of the family. May God be with you.

To the Roberts family, I attended school with Dorothy and I had the pleasure of seeing her again at our 30th year reunion this past June. Reunions are so very important in our lives and we will all have our reunion with God one day. I wish to express our family deepest sympathy in your time of sorrow. My father passed away at the age of 81, six years ago but it will always seem just like yesterday. Always take care and continue to love one another, remember he is only taking a long rest and his works here on earth are complete. Sincerely, Mary E. Reed-Pinckney (Elaine)

Uncle Larry saved my career as a educator. He was by myside in Akron the entire time 1983/84. He was huge in the lives of my brothers. When Uncle Larry spoke, we listened and learned. A great father and role model and a Blessing from the Lord! He was ahead of his time!

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I also lost my father, who was 82 years old, this past July 30. Life will never be the same without him. I keep this poem with me at all times and it helps me through each day. I hope it does the same for you. I'M THERE INSIDE YOUR HEART... Right now I'm in a different place, and though we seem apart,I'm closer than I ever was...I'm there inside your heart. I'm with you when you greet each day and while the sun shines bright,I'm there to share the sunsets, too... I'm with you every night. I'm with you when the times are good to share a laugh or two,and if a tear should start to fall...I'll still be there for you. And when that day arrives that we no longer are apart, I'll smile and hold you close to me...Forever in my heart. I'M THERE INSIDE YOUR HEART

To all members of Col. Roberts' family ... Although I never met Col. Roberts, after reading his obituary I can see where Robin and other family members got their high values of life and their goals and desires to succeed in whatever they decided to do. To Lawrence II .. I am an alumnus of Mississippi State University and I would like say how proud we are to have Lawrence III on our basketball team, but more importantly the personal values that he maintains. Colonel Roberts became a personal hero of mine from pretty much the day I first met him, which I believe was in 1971. He had a great impact on my life, I'm positive. But so did his lovely wife, Luci, and his family, especially Dorothy. My deepest condolences to all of the Roberts family.

America and, I dare say, the entire world is a much better place today because of the energetic and highly-charged love, through Jesus Christ, that Colonel Lawrence E. Roberts freely gave to it. I know that we are all blessed to have had him as our friend and protector. And now he most-certainly resides in heaven with the other saints there.

What a suprise to learn of Col Robert's passing! I just heard him and Lucimarian give a talk about their trip to South Africa a few weeks ago at a Kawanis meeting in Bay St Louis. Both he and his wife seemed fit and happy. I grieve the loss because it is personal. Col Roberts was, as I am, a member of Sigma Pi Phi fraternity, the oldest Black Fraternity in the US. To the Roberts family: May God bless you and embrace you during your time of grief! I pray for your since of life's continuance after you come to terms with God's choice to fly the Col. home. The Bible says, “God will be a father to the fatherless and a husband to the husbandless.” Draw closer to him now.

I am so sorry about this great personal loss for you. In the German Requiem the Isaiah quotation that helps me most is "Ye know that for a little time labor and sorry are mine, but at the last I will comfort you - as one whom his own mother comforteth." May God comfort you in that way. Love, Marian
