12/27/1945 - 10/17/2025
On Oct. 17, 2025 Leonard Dillion Broadrick passed away peacefully at age of 79 after being in the hospital then Hospice care for less than 24 hours at Methodist Hospital in Cypress, TX.
Leonard was a dedicated and devoted husband to his wife Patsy of 57 years, father to daughter Gena Walk (Jon Walk) and son Jason Broadrick (Allison Darling), granddaughter Waverly Walk, and grandchildren Bettina, Grace and Charles Darling.
Leonard, the son of Ralph and Elsie Broadrick (deceased) was born Dec. 27, 1945 in Tullahoma, TN and was one of 11 children. Leonard is survived by Edna Moore, Betty Jo Parris, Nellie Ann Inglish (Don), Ben Broadrick (Phyllis), Sammie Broadrick (Carol), Harvey Broadrick (Nancy), Phyllis Broadrick along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Leonard was preceded in death by Frank Moore, Helen Mangrum (Joe), Lillian Hogan (Art), Bill Parris, Ralph Broadrick (Lil), Larry Broadrick, Archie Broadrick (Mary Helen) along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He loved them all!
After graduating from Tullahoma High School in TN he came to Houston to work at Drilco for 6 months then was drafted into the U.S. Army and served for 2 years with 1 year in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged Oct 26, 1967. He returned to Drilco and stayed in Oilfield industry for 22 years. He retired from Randalls after 26 years in 2012.
Leonard and Jason enjoyed many fishing trips, keeping up with sports and family get togethers for fajitas. We could always find him in his recliner, watching any old western movie. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends!
American Legion Post 164 of Katy will be providing full military honors for his service in the U. S. Army as a SP4/E4. Services will be hosted by Addison Funeral Home 18630 Kuykendahl Rd, Spring, TX 77379. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct 23 from 4-6 PM and his funeral service will be Friday, Oct. 24 starting at 11 AM with the graveside service immediately following at Tranquility Oaks Cemetery 22674 Hildebrandt Rd, Spring, TX 77389. In Lieu of flowers please donate to American Legion Post 164 of Katy by clicking on their link for Wreaths Across America.
