Joey, Wade, and Stacey,

The memorial service you planned for your mother beautifully depicted her exactly as she was: loving, kind, tirelessly devoted to her family, brave and full of positive energy (even in the face of a debilitating disease.) Lil was an amazing person!

It was always evident when anyone observed her with you, her children, that there was nothing she loved more or thought was more important than being your mother. My heart goes out to you as you grieve her loss and learn to live without her physical presence.

You will call upon the memory of your mother's love for the rest of your lives and she will continue in spirit to comfort and console, to advise with her wisdom, and lead you through joyous and difficult times.I know you will remain very close and will "keep the family together" as you said in the service, this was her greatest purpose and goal.

What a blessing in life to have such wonderful Mom!

With love,

One day I met a beautiful friendly woman at the YMCA. We struck up a conversation and talked for about ten minutes. For the next few weeks every time I went to work out we would talk and laugh and it was like we were old friends. Then my sister Deanna and I went to work out together and she walked in the door and went up to this woman and gave her a big hug and I was like huh? She then proceeded to tell me this was her friend Stacey's mom. I immediately put two and two together and realized that this was Lill! The same Lill I had heard about who had been battling cancer since they were in school together. I couldn't believe that this was the face of cancer- so pretty, friendly, happy and caring. The years have passed and I haven't seen Lill for a while but Deanna has kept me in the loop. I am so sorry to hear of your loss but so happy she is not suffering. She was an amazing person and I'm glad to have known her for the little time that I did!

Lill,
I've known you since Jake and Joey were lil guys and have watched in awe as you have battled many of life's obstacles. You are and always will be one of the strongest and loving women I will ever meet. God bless you Lill. You are now home where your earthly body can no longer keep you from your motherly duties and what a beautiful angel you will be in heaven, as you certainly were here on earth.
Joey, Stacey & Wade,
May you all find comfort in your own special memories of your Mom and remember the unconditional love as there is no greater love than the love between a child and a Mother. My heart goes out to you and I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
With Love,
Linda

While I am beyond sad, I also rejoice in knowing that my dear, sweet Lillith is at peace. My hope is that Joey, Wade, and Stacey will have some comfort in knowing what a blessing their mother was to so many people. I will miss her terribly and coming back to Houston won't be the same without her.
