Death Notice (Since Jesus did not come back first):
LouEllen McFadden Hoffman, age 79, stopped the tribulations of this life on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. She is survived by: Husband Louis Hoffman; Son and Daughter In-Love Dr. Ladd and Rhonda Hoffman of Carthage, Texas; Grandsons Lincoln Hoffman of Lubbock, TX, Levi Hoffman of College Station, TX, Legend Hoffman of Cañon City, CO, and Koray Erdogan of Ankara, Turkey; Brother and Sister-In-Law Jerry and Lynn McFadden of Panola County, Texas; Sister-In-Law and Brother-In-Law Alda and Jackie Sayles of Shreveport, Louisiana; Many Nieces and Nephews. Her son Lynn Carl Hoffman and her sister Shirley Corley preceded her in death.
LouEllen graduated from Fair Park High School, Shreveport, LA and attended Louisiana College and the University of Houston where she received her BA in 1967. From 1966 to 1978 she was a teacher and librarian for Houston ISD. She also worked insurance, printing and in the family business, Brucette's Shoes.
She taught Sunday School at Houston's First Baptist Church and was thankful for the wonderful church family there. A prize-winning poet and songwriter, LouEllen shared her writings with friends and loved ones, always pointing others to her Savior Jesus Christ.
Making cards with photos that she had taken was a favorite hobby. She loved to share them with everyone.

The Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at 11:00am at Houston's First Baptist Church chapel, Houston TX at 7401 Katy Freeway. Celebration Reception to follow in the Green Room.

LouEllen was a special member of the Glassey Ladies lunch group, we all met at Your Cup of Tea and have remained friends meeting every month for lunch. She will be missed.

LouEllen was a long-time consignor and customer at the Guild Shop, where I volunteered. I will never forget one time when she returned a substantial amount of money that had been put on her account by mistake. She had so much integrity, and I admired her so much for that. It´s so sadly lacking among so many people.
