Lou was always my best friend and brother. I was the last of seven and hard to find names. Lou was there again. I was named after his favorite comic book "Steve Roper". I always envied the way he went from basketball to Golf. He was really good and even gave me some pointers. I will never forget that he was supposed to be in a charity tournament Monday after he passed. In his honor I stood in for him and went with his three best friends and carried his putter to each hole. Mike C. always said your putt Steve. Missing some close ones I told the guys, I am going to make one for LOU. Well, on our last hole I made a 20 foot Birdie shot for Lou. He was with me all the way. Then Mike, Bobby and Tom told me that two weeks before at another charity event that LOU made the same shot on the same hole for a Birdie. He was awsome and Carol and I will miss visiting him on our trips thru Houston. There will always be an empty place in my heart. No one can replace him. I miss you so much LOU. Your Roses are your legacy and now you have a bigger garden.

My Dear Brother Louis. You were one of the best that God ever made. What fun to be around you. Not a reserved bone in your body. The one memory i have of you was when i was about 11 0r 12 years old and you talked me into boxing with you. You were probably in your late teens. We started out in the kitchen , than into the hall than into the bathroom and ended up with me in the bathtub. Pretty soon there was a shatter of glass, yep there went the bathroom window. Needless to say Mom was not to pleased with either of us.

You were always such a riot to be around. I love you and will miss your frog imatations. You were always so generous with your sisters. Thank you!

My heart is broken.........Love isue (Sister)

Micheal so sorry about your Dad. He was well loved by us all.

Even though I only was able to see Uncle Lou on a few occasions, I'll never forget how friendly and dynamic he was. One of my fondest memories that will live on in my heart is him imitating a frog! We'll miss you!

Lou will be missed. I did not get to meet Lou, but coresponded with him over E-Mail and felt like I knew him. It was through George O'Bresly that I got his E-Mail address and had lots of laughs and enjoyment from his E-Mails. Its our loss. Heaven will be a better place with him there to help brighten it up.

Dear Brother Lou: Having known you for 67 years, there is so much that can be said, but even more special are the memories that can never be erased, and are so special because you are a part of them.

Jogging my mind, I recall the trip North from VanLear, Kentucky during the War when Mom, George, and you took charge of us 'youngins', tightly holding our hands so that we would not get separated in that monstrous Cincinnati train terminal. Never having been out of the hills of Ky.,we were all so frightened.

Then too, Christmas was usually a difficult time with seven children at home in those early days in Niagara Falls. Late one Christmas Eve, you came tromping in with a Christmas tree!! What fun we had putting on those decorations!

Were you the one that gave Mom the largest carnation corsage in the city? It was beautiful, and she so appreciated it.

It is unfortunate that we all were separated by so many miles during the years. Visits were not often enough. My dear brother, you will be greatly missed, and my heart is so sad. Time heals suffering, and the memories of you will fill my heart and I will be glad you will live on in my heart and mind.

#l daughter,

Sister Violet

Lou - Always the kind, charming, flamboyant, generous. Your mom always said you could sell an air-conditioner to an eskimo.

Steve & I especially enjoyed our mid-point Houston stops the last couple of years. You even gave up your bed to sleep on the air mattress that you had to get up 3 times in the night to refill.

You made some great meals for us that your mom would be proud of.

We'll all miss you...

Thanks for the memories.

Your sister-in-law, Carol

Lou was my sister's Real Estate Broker. When I was transferred to Memphis she told me that Lou would sell my "house from hell that wouldn't sell", and, he did. He was a heck of a guy and we will all miss him.

Lou was the most brilliant man that I have ever met. He was my mentor in business and in life. He is truly "one of a kind". I will miss him always.

Lou,

Was my uncle, although I did not get to see him often. I always enjoyed the time I did spend with him. He had a way of lighting up a room when he walked in! I will never forget the time he showed up out of the blue at my Mom's for Christmas Eve with many pizza boxes in hand! He was a kind man and would do anything for those he loved. He will be sorely missed. God Rest his Soul.

Uncle Lou, you made a big impression on my life for the little time I was able to spend with you.

Lou was an old family friend of mine and has been in my life off and on for as long as I can remember. He gave me my first job when I was in highschool and let me do my home work while answering his phone calls at his realtor business.

He has always looked out for me and just recently sold our condo at the Trophy Club when we had our new house built. He alway told me "don't worry baby girl I will always look out for you" and he did.

I will miss his jokes and spiritual messages he always emailed us. Lou was like a father figure to me and I can't believe he is gone.

God bless the family and friends at this time of sorrow. I wish you well and I will never forget Lou O'Bresly. I know he is still looking out for us.

We were upstairs neighbors of Lou for several years. He was a great neighbor and friend. I know he will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May God bless you in your time of sorrow.

Lou was a sweet person and always had a cheerful hello for his neighbors. His love of flowers and the beauty he added to the Trophy Club will long be remembered. On Sunday of this week after hearing of Lou's passing, every rose and flower in his yard were in beautiful full bloom all at once as if to say remember the beauty Lou created.
