Lynn Armstrong Obituary

LYNN EDWARD ARMSTRONG, age 72, left this world at Earthaven Ecovillage in Black Mountain, N.C. after a productive and fruitful life. He was father to 7 children and influenced countless others. Beginning his life in Houston, Texas, Lynn was received his engineering degree at the University of Houston, and worked as a professional engineer in the Houston area. In his later life, he designed and constructed many buildings in the southern part of the U.S. He was also influential in air-conditioning the city of Houston. During his lifetime, Lynn was a founding member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pearland; a Sunday school teacher; served on the Pearland School Board; a Charter member of the Hobby Area Exchange Club; and a member of the Exchange Club of Pearland. He is survived by his wife, Mary; children Edward Armstrong and wife Judy, Charles Armstrong and wife Charise, Nancy Gibbs and husband Darrell, Sandra Armstrong, Ray LeBouf and wife Jamye, Debra Hebert and husband Bart, Michele Marion and husband Luke; 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A casual memorial service will be held Friday, April 23 at 7:00 pm at Corl's Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Lynn Armstrong to Earthaven Ecovillage, c/o Mary Armstrong, 1025 Camp Elliott Rd., Black Mountain, NC 28711.
