MALCOLM A MYNDERSE, 80, died Friday, May 14, 2004. He was born in Los Angeles, California on November 28, 1923. Malcolm moved to the beaches area three years ago from Port Aransas, Texas. Malcolm graduated with a master's in business from Stanford University, retiring from a career as an International Business Executive in 1997. He served our country in the U.S. Marines, stationed in the Guadal Canal during World War II. He later served in the Army Reserves earning the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Malcolm was also a member of the U.S. Sailing Association. Family members include his loving wife Carmen Mynderse; sons, Barent Mynderse (Nancy) of California, Lance Mynderse, M.D. (Marie) of Minnesota; daughters, Margo Mynderse-Isola (Frank) of California, Marina Alley (Chris) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Chris Isola of California, Michael Brass of California, Lisa Isola of California, Nicholas Mynderse of California, Christian Mynderse of Minnesota, Milan Alley of Jacksonville, Sam Mynderse of Minnesota, Lauren Mynderse of California, and Maggie Mynderse of Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 24, 2004 at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Reverend William Kelly as celebrant. Interment followed at Beaches Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to B.E.A.M. (Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry), 800 Shetter Avenue, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
